Issue Position: Creating Accountability

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2012

The past decades of public service in Illinois have simply been embarrassing. The way our public servants act is Springfield is not up to par. I beleive that little can be accomplished when our public officials do not work as one productive assembly. It is time to stop the bickering between the two political parties who are both failing to meet the needs of the general public. As I speak to residents, I am receiving a strong message that many have lost faith in our system. That being said, it is time to move past our reputation and start looking towards the future. If elected as your state representative, I will work tirelessly to stop any form of corruption and abuse in our system. I will also support sunshine legislation that allows Illinois residents to view how their tax dollars are being spent, while working to stop the behind the scenes deals that have taken place in the past. I strongly believe that Illinois residents have every right to know where their tax dollars are going with no strings attached.
